Simplifhy has been selected as one of the five best Climate Start Up by the Foundation for Sustainable Development and Ecomondo-Italian Exhibition Group as part of the Sustainable Development Award 2022.
In particular, the Sustainable Development Award 2022 is organised in collaboration with the Circular Economy Network, WWF, CREA-RURAL NATIONAL NETWORK, Italy for Climate and STEP (green tech), under the patronage of MITE (Ministry of Ecological Transition).
The Award, now in its twelfth edition, saw three sectors competing:
- circular economy
- natural capital
- climate start-up.
Edo Ronchi, President of the Sustainable Development Foundation, said:
“The Award was created to publicise and promote best practices and best innovations in the various sectors of the green economy. Every year we have seen an increase in the number of companies that have participated and the quality of the projects: a good sign of the vitality of our companies and start-up that are making sustainability their trademark”..
Specifically, Simplifhy was awarded for developing a modular generator – HYPER-GEN –.
It is the solution that integrates small wind and photovoltaic plants with electrolysers and fuel cells to produce and use green hydrogen.
The award to Simplify during the ceremony for the Sustainable Development Award 2022
The award to Simplify was made official during the ceremony for the Sustainable Development Award held in Rimini on 10 November 2022, as part of the Ecomondo exhibition.
This is the reference event in Europe for ecological transition and new models of circular and regenerative economy.
Luca Pacifico, Project Engineer at Simplifhy, received the award on behalf of the entire company:
“Simplifhy is the first system integrator in Italy focused on the realisation of decarbonised solutions based on the production and utilisation of green hydrogen; and the Hypergen is certainly the most meaningful example as it integrates all the technologies dedicated to the production and utilisation of hydrogen from the renewable energy source.
Receiving the Sustainable Development Award allows us, firstly, to valorise the work we have done and, also, to increase our credibility and visibility in a young but growing market.”
Sustainable Development Award 2022 for Italy increasingly oriented towards the green economy
The 2022 Sustainable Development Award Commission honoured companies that have made an important contribution to an increasingly green economy-oriented Italy.
In particular, prizes were awarded to companies that have particularly distinguished themselves for:
- eco-innovation
- effectiveness of environmental results
- positive economic and employment results
- dissemination potential.
Simplifhy’s HYPER-GEN solution was awarded in the climate start-up sector, with the collaboration of Italy for Climate and STEP (green tech).
Specifically, this sector of the Sustainable Development Award 2022 is dedicated to Italian start-up in the field of climate change.
In particular, Simplifhy’s HYPER-GEN solution was selected as one of the most innovative, effective and promising projects in terms of its contribution to achieving climate neutrality in Italy.
As mentioned above, HYPER-GEN is an integrated system for the production of electricity that allows only renewable sources to be used.
This solution can be used at remote sites or sites that are not accessible to the electricity grid and allows sites to become totally decarbonised.
