GRZ Technologies’ Pioneering Hydrogen Technology
Founded in 2017 as a spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), the Swiss company, GRZ Technologies, offers pioneering technology resulting from several decades of research and development in the field of hydrogen. In particular, one of the GRZ Technologies’ main competencies is related to metal hydrides, which are used to produce hydrogen-based electricity storage systems.
GRZ Technologies’ products take green hydrogen from an electrolyzer as input and transforms it into valuable on-demand electricity, pressurized hydrogen for mobility, or synthetic and renewable methane. Therefore, GRZ Technologies’ technology enables reliable, safe, efficient, and compact gas storage and handling.

DASH Power Systems
DASH Power Systems are containerized, fully integrated systems. They combine GRZ Technologies’ proprietary solid-state hydrogen storage, automotive-grade fuel cell systems, and auxiliary components. They are loaded with hydrogen from any source and provide on-demand electrical power.
DASH Power unlocks the opportunities offered by hydrogen-based electricity storage. Whether it’s efficient and cost-effective power generation, advanced grid management, system services, or other applications, this technology allows large amounts of electrical energy to be stored wherever needed.
DASH M Series Hydrogen Storage Modules
DASH M Series Hydrogen Storage Modules are solid-state hydrogen storage systems. Specifically, hydrogen can be stored in solid atomic form within a special metal structure.
Storage occurs at low pressure, thus eliminating the need for compression. These systems have excellent safety properties, very high volumetric density, and particularly long lifespan.

When larger amounts of stored hydrogen are needed, the best solution is often the container storage offered by the DASH C Series. Specifically, GRZ offers container hydrogen storage solutions with an H2 storage capacity ranging from 45 to 180 kg, including all necessary auxiliary systems.
The DASH C Series comes with an electric HVAC system to allow rapid flow rates. It is a Plug Play module where all you need to do is add hydrogen and electricity.
UPSOM Systems
UPSOM is a new methanation technology with improved efficiency and reduced costs that directly converts carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen (H4) into synthetic methane (CH4) via the Sabatier process. Specifically, the patented methanation reactor converts green hydrogen and carbon dioxide into green methane. The only other by-products are water and heat that can be recovered and reused.
FLEXI HyCo High-Pressure Hydrogen Delivery System
FLEXI HyCo is a high-pressure hydrogen delivery system for laboratory use based on patented HyCo technology.
Thanks to FLEXI HyCo, handling high-pressure cylinders is no longer necessary, and ultra-pure high-pressure hydrogen at 200 bar(g) is at the touch of a button.

The partnership between GRZ and Simplifhy allows the Italian market to receive GRZ solutions integrated with our engineering and construction expertise required for the implementation of hydrogen plants.
