The main European hydrogen projects
In recent years, several companies in Italy have recognised the potential of hydrogen. As a result, the need to think about new strategies for energy supply, sustainability and autonomy is becoming increasingly evident.
In general, there are a number of important international projects on the European scene: these are funding for Italian and European companies that can play a key role in the development and implementation of hydrogen-related technologies.
Let’s take a brief look at the main European calls for proposals:
- IPCEIs (important projects of common European interest) are projects financed at European level where member states agree on the type of project and select the participating companies. For a project to be funded as an IPCEI it must at least contribute to the achievement of EU objectives.
- LIFE Programme 2021-2027 is the European Union’s financial instrument supporting environmental and climate action projects that aims to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent.
- Horizon Europe is the European Union’s main funding programme for research and innovation in the world of hydrogen: from research and innovation projects, through market deployment, to technology testing in industry.
- Hydrogen Europe Research, is one of the three components of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership. It is the European Commission’s point of reference for research and innovation and the development of the hydrogen supply chain.
Italian companies participating in European hydrogen tenders
There are numerous projects throughout Europe and these opportunities can play a key role in the development and implementation of hydrogen-related technologies. In Italy, several large companies have signed up:- Ansaldo
- Fincantieri
- Alstom Ferroviaria
- Enel
- Snam
- Bruno Kessler Foundation
- Edison
- Serravalle Group with CPL Concordia
Simplifhy: the Italian company for the decarbonisation of industry through hydrogen
At Simplifhy, we work with many years of experience to propose innovative solutions for the production, distribution and use of hydrogen. As the first Italian solution provider, we are able to offer strategies and systems for the decarbonisation of industry. In particular, we also support companies in participating in regional, national and European calls for tenders for the funding and implementation of innovative projects for decarbonisation with hydrogen-based technologies.- From the design and feasibility study phases
