Simplifhy’s contribution to Axpo’s green hydrogen projects
Among others, Hynego is the most interesting green hydrogen project we are working on with Axpo and its partner Enego.
The Project would produce green hydrogen for ISAB priorly, one of the biggest refineries of Europe, located in Priolo, Sicily.
The Projects envisages an investment of more than EUR 200 million to install a 100 MW electrolysis system at the Priolo petrochemical site. This plant will produce green hydrogen to meet the needs of the ISAB refinery.
In a second phase, the Project could be expanded up to a capacity of 300 MW, to also supply green hydrogen to other industrial sites in the area, enabling the development of the local sustainable mobility, and offering ancillary services to the entire regional energy system.
With SB Setec, we are finalizing the feasibility study of the Project so to allow Project’ Sponsors to start the permitting procedure in summer 2025.
