We are proud to announce a very important collaboration with Grastim, which also involves our partners HRS and Enapter, for the realisation of a Hydrogen Valley in Acerra, Campania.
Grastim develops energy solutions for industrial customers oriented towards the decarbonisation of their production activities. Having established itself on the market as a leading player in the field of cogeneration, it is now able to offer a wide range of solutions in the fields of energy efficiency, renewables and biomethane.
What the Acerra Hydrogen Valley project provides in detail
So.F.Invest s.r.l., the parent company of an industrial union active in the Green Economy, was awarded the tender for the construction of the Hydrogen Valley in Acerra.
Specifically, for this project So.F.Invest has appointed Grastim to act as general contractor for the construction of the plant for the production, compression and storage of green hydrogen with photovoltaics.
The photovoltaic plant that will be built by So.F.Invest will allow to exploit solar energy for the production of zero-emission hydrogen through electrolysis.
As far as the hydrogen production site is concerned, as EPC Contractor Grastim has chosen to enlist the support of a number of specialised companies:
● Simplifhy for plant engineering
● Enapter for hydrogen production
● HRS for compression and storage
Simplifhy’s contribution to plant engineering
We at Simplifhy will support Grastim in the executive design of the plant and the functional integration of the plant’s main equipment.
For us, this is a very important project, as it is one of the few Hydrogen Valley projects that is actually starting up in Italy. Moreover, this is the first initiative in which we are involved together with our partners HRS and Enapter.
Enapter’s role in hydrogen production
Enapter‘s role in this collaboration concerns the construction of the hydrogen production plant with a 1 MW electrolyser.
Enapter is a company that operates in the field of energy technology and produces highly efficient hydrogen generators. Its patented Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) technology enables the mass production of plug-and-play electrolysers at low cost and at any scale.

HRS participation for hydrogen compression and storage
Hydrogen compression and storage are entrusted to HRS, a French company that is a pioneer in hydrogen mobility.
As a European designer and manufacturer specialising in the supply of Hydrogen Refueling Stations, HRS’s mission is to ‘democratise’ access to this energy vector and facilitate the transition to low-carbon mobility.
